Our Environment

What We Offer...
  • The EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)

Every aspect of our childcare has been designed with this framework in mind, from the physical layout of the room and everything in it, to our approach.  Children can move freely around our well laid out rooms and outdoor areas playing, talking, observing, planning, questioning, experimenting, testing, repeating, reflecting, responding, exploring, role playing, creating and recreating.  Our team carefully plan and evaluate a range of experiences skilfully balancing child and adult-led activities to fire their imaginations and give them the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for the next stage of their life.

Here at Tiggers Too we offer a play based day with hidden learning. We provide well planned experiences indoors and outdoors based on each child’s interests. Our team will help and support all children to learn with enjoyment and challenge having a balance of child initiated and adult led play based activities. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is a statutory framework covering learning and development from the day your child is born until the end of their first year at school. Tiggers Too provides all children with a firm foundation on which to build future academic, social and emotional success. We do this by ensuring the EYFS themes are embedded in all aspects of what we do.

We operate within the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage, a framework which recognises the holistic nature of development and learning at this age, with an emphasis on children learning through interaction with people and recognises that learning and development take place during each different activity.

  • Our weekly planning is rigorously undertaken by our team using the following areas of learning:-
